Scorned

He didn't understand what he'd done to her, but he would by the time she was finished

What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week featuring an old friend.

The dragon roared into the sky, both terrible and deafening. Still, it was but a whisper of her rage. She’d been humiliated. Humiliated, as a wife, an inventor, and a woman. She could imagine the scales gleaming in the sun. The metal shell undulating as the tail lashed. It was nightmare incarnate and it was her’s.

She sat in the pilot’s chair, a grin viciously spreading as she stared out of the beast’s eyes. Setting the course, she pointed it straight to her ex-husband’s. He didn’t understand what he’d done to her, but he would by the time she was finished.

Now see the rest!

  1. I really like this story! It tells so much in just 100 words. It left me wondering exactly what her ex-husband had done to deserve her wrath.

  2. He must have been one horrible husband to deserve a dragon attack. And once again, I love your dragon story.
