What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.
She had found something that would mean she’d never be poor again – but there was a catch. One which Zoe’s vision, triggered by the satyr asleep in the rosebushes, whispered about. Informing her father of their guest would begin a chain she wouldn’t be able to control with numerous possible endings. Some horrific.
Would her father humble himself? Would Pactolus flow with gold or would Zoe remain eternally trapped in a golden tomb? She shuddered.
Forcing a breath out, she pushed away fear. She’s been shown for a reason. Trusting the Gods, she went to tell Midas of Silenus.
Now see the rest!
