WonHundred Word Wednesdays

In all the years I’ve lived here, I never once called this place my home.

This week I have joined WonHundred Word Wednesdays. What is that you ask? Why, it’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt. The array of ideas that come out of this is fun to see. Here is my first entry. Check back next week for more and don’t forget to read the other author’s as well.

In all the years I’ve lived here, I never once called this place my home. I was stolen to this constructed land and locked away. Denied even a glimpse of my home. One pane reveals their world to convince me of its strength. I don’t see it. For everything they tried to control and make me forget, some are above them. Literally. Pale, She’s rising higher than their jagged constructs can blot. The mist is calling. I’d have preferred boughs to braid in as well, but this’ll do. Reaching out I touch the window, calling my sisters to free me.

Now see the rest!

  1. Ooh, I love this. The terribleness of being captured set off by the wonder of her sisters coming to free her. There’s so much magic in this.
Also, random, I love your blog layout ^_^

    1. Thank you. I was thrilled to start my blog with this writing prompt. I’ve been wanting to do a story around the websites theme for years and never had one I liked. This just brought it out and I think I may expand it more.
