What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.
As the policeman pulled back the sheet, she knew immediately that a headache was coming. At least they’d skipped the fusion pack this time. No searching for the kill switch while it blared noise. If she never heard the build-a-bot jingle again, she’d be grateful.
She glanced at the officer. “The cameras were whipped again?”
He shrugged. “All we’ve checked so far.”
“Keep checking. They’ve got to slip somewhere.”
She turned away and cursed the manufacturer’s newest mod line. Their innovation had given someone easy tools for destruction. It was getting worse. They were lucky no one had died, yet.
