Wednesday has come around again, and I’m happy to present this week’s flash fiction.
“How long have they been there?” Tiladine asked, leaning toward Carnson.
He shrugged. “Does it matter?”
Tiladine paused and twitched her nose. “I suppose not.” She bumped her shoulder against Carnson’s. “But what do we do?”
“Join them?” Carnson glanced from the group before the wall to look questioningly at Tiladine.
“Join them?” Her question carried incredulousness.
They weren’t the first expedition here. They’d found their remains in this chamber, in nearly the same position, staring at the wall.
Carnson didn’t wait for an answer but sat with the rest of their team. Great, now how could Tiladine wake them?
