What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.
The old photos made her conscious of her age, of how much time had passed. Normally, it was easy to forget. Years blended together differentiated only by the fashions. Or recently the technology.
Pushing aside her nostalgia, she refocused on the photos on the cold, metal table. That slab was as comforting as the man across from her.
She hesitated. “Pictures of my ancestors?” She watched him, appraising.
He paused, but not to consider. “We both know that’s a lie.”
“What do you want then?”
“The secret to your youth.” She sat back, horrified by the avarice in his eyes.
