Razor’s Edge

Razor’s Edge

An unseen blade, the slender tool
Binding life within its thrall
The razor slices everything
Creating two worlds’ wall

One world progresses forward bound
Written by science’s scrawl
The other drifts through tangles webs
Where magic’s trusses fall

Two worlds blinded, numb to their scar
Beneath daylight’s blinding pall
But dreamers briefly shift the steel
Chasing their glimpses small

And yet the most conniving cut
Keeps focus on the wall
Not the hand wielding the blade
Or why they let it fall?
