Summer and Winter

That summer seemed to last forever

What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.

I stepped back and glowered at Samson, pulling away my arm. Anger. Cold anger. I could use that. I let it seep, freezing away my tears.

“We met in the summer. Can’t we go back, Crystal? Please?” He smiled, all sizzle as he reached again smug in surety he could reclaim my heart whenever he wished. He was wrong.

I stepped away from his approach. “That summer seemed to last forever.” Shaking my head I narrowed my eyes. “But the winter came.” Not fighting the cold, I let it creep down my skin revealing in the chill “I became winter.”

Now see the rest.
